Fukushima

There is so much going on globally now that I'm changing the layout of my blog, this is where I'll put informative resources about the on-going situation in Japan.

Latest News from Fukushima, Japan

Tuesday 20th Jan 2015
As government & corporate interestes close ranks to protect the Nuclear village & those who promote it, the Japanese government is trying to create more Nuclear Waste dumps in the small town of Futaba that hosts the Daiichi plants, meanwhile the government via it's prosecution is trying to block the lawsuit filed by the Japanese people against the Government and Tepco. It seems the Japanses  government are also taking a leaf from the UK government's books and trying to introduce a nuclear levy to all utilitiy bills (even those of the renewables utilities) in order to get the consumers to foot the bill for the Nuclear Industry - much the same as here in the UK. The  Nuclear Levy that is being introduced to our utility bills here is to fund the UK governments Nuclear ambitions, dressed up of course as combatting climate change... Of course we've gotta have a bit of greenwash, haven't we?

Global weather map of radioactive plume direction

This map gives an indication of which way the plume will travel over the coming 3 days. Take with a pich of salt the blurb about radiaiton levels they are being well underestimated and the are also far too crude, as the do not give any indication of which radionuclides they are referring to nor a unit of measurement that the measurements are given in. As soon as I can find a better more reliable map source I'll up date it.

Japan anti-nuclear protests

It is interesting to note that the anti-nuclear protests are far more extensive & well attended than the western media are letting on...
