My Goodness! I think that I've got consultation fever! How many times have EDF consulted now? It wouldnt be so bad if they were actually listening but they're not! This is just them jumping through the Beauracratic hoops that they have to so that they can create the illusion of pretending to give a damn.
If they were really interested in what people think then their starting point would be to ask and see if any of us actually want their proposed development. But no, they dont really give a monkeys do they? that's why they just have cosy little tete a tete 's with central government. I'm sure there are some well oiled palms there!
Even Sedgemoor District council who want the development, had to crticise them for a lack of information, which is why EDF are so-called consulting again. They've apparently submitted some of this missing information (or failing that they've submitted a load of excuses as to why they don't see why they should submit the info, and we can all comment on that.
So, once again, I need to urge everyone to arm themselves with their pens (for now) and to let W.S.D.C. and EDF know exactly what we think of their plans - no more Fukushima's & Chernobyls not here & not anywhere...
