More EDF job lies....

Forgive me if this seems out of place given everything that is going on in the world right now but I started drafting this post on Thursday 8th March before the events in Japan began to unfold.

I'm finishing it off now & getting it up because I notice that the only thing that the nuclear industry can manage today is a load of propaganda about how many jobs they're going to make in the UK. See here:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/money/article-1365575/Bonanza-nuclear-plant-project-create-100-000-jobs.html

Now below is the article that I began about EDFs job lies:

Unbelievable! These people are masters in the art of manipulation. They've done their stage 2 consultation, and they had no desire to do any further consultation (as they were urged to do by the IPC). The only reason they've changed their minds are because the local authorities (who are far too amenable to Nuclear New Build particularly Sedgemoor District Council) have despite this said that EDF aren't offering a high enough price yet in the way of money & jobs.

Voila - EDF have now conjured up a quadrupling in the number of jobs they have been proposing thus far! What's wrong with that? i hear you say, there's a recession on we need jobs for the economy especially at a time when so many cuts are being made don't we? Well I'll tell you what's wrong with it - the jobs don't exist and never well (except for in EDFs fantastical glossy brochures full of lies & propoganda)

The article I wrote on here the other day about EDFs job lies looked at a report by the BBC on the visit to Flammenville where EDF wined & dined members of the media giving them the guided tour, here at the beginning of the report, you can quite clearly hear the reporter using the statistics of the project to give an indication of the scale of the project. He states 3,300 workers:

Now fast forward to the little EDF 'consultation special' that dropped onto my doormat the other day and here EDF clearly state that:
"Since carrying out our stage 3 preferred proposals consultation, some of the detail of our plans has changed in response to feedback received and ongoing-detailed studies. The fundamentals of the Hinkley Point C project remain the same."

Below is EDFs projected jobs for the contruction lifetime of the Hinkley C

There is nothing in this graph (taken from EDFs stage 2 update report (another way of not saying stage 3 consultation).. to indicate that they will be able to create anything like the 25,000 jobs they are now claiming that they are going to make!

I'm guessing the bullshit figures they printed in the Daily Mail today where based on this new revised 20,000-25,000 figure that they are now claiming for Hinkley! I'd like to see them prove it is all that I can say!

You're just dead people walking if you want a job in this industry, don't just take my word for it check out the views of the American nuclear industry workers whose health has been knowingly deliberately compromised by the nuclear industry for the last half a century:

This woman worked @ Rocky Flats she has a huge body burden of Plutonium and numerous manger illnesses including autoimmune conditions.
