This blog aims to share info, my thoughts (including rants from time to time), reflections on, and feelings about, the nuclear industry and my experiences as an anti-nuclear activist, living near what is set to be the battleground for the nuclear new build plans for the UK, here in Somerset.

Anarchist Bookfair
South West against Nuclear had a stall at the Bristol Anarchist Bookfair at the weekend, we also did a workshop - Cut Nuclear. Where we explored the money being spent by the government in subsidies to the nuclear industry such as limited insurance liability, carbon floor price, electricity reform act, fixed unit price electric, and also maximum price cap for waste disposal...Wow that's an awful lot of subsidies from a government that repeatedly claims that it wont be subsidising new nukes!!!
The workshop went well apart from a few technical hitched with equipment, we spoke to lot's of people and advertised the upcoming talk this wednesday. We also saw a great band at the after party called China Shop Bull who might be up for coming up to do a benefit gig for us later in the year...all in all a great bookfair.
